Paris, 1865. A secret workshop, a prodigious clock, a quest spanning centuries. The Valcourt Legacy is a narrative puzzle game (Cozy-Repair) developed in Unreal Engine, in which the player explores, diagnoses, and repairs an artifact blending haute horlogerie and jewelry\u2014a masterpiece commissioned in secret to re-enchant the world. The experience unfolds as a real-time 3D interactive diorama: from a global view to a microscopic zoom on the gears, every component tells a story, and every gesture reveals a fragment of the buried truth. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Empathic Viewer: a tailor-made experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At the heart of the project lies an exclusive innovation: the Empathic Viewer. This system adapts the level of guidance, narration, and difficulty in real time to each player’s emotional and technical profile. Accessible to everyone (PEGI 3, mouse-only, controller, or tablet), it allows both novices and seasoned gamers to live the same experience at their own pace, without ever breaking the magic. No other game today combines the gamified discovery of artisanal craftsmanship, narrative enchantment, and such deep personalization. <\/p>\n<\/div>

03<\/em><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

What Lore & Lumi\u00e8re designed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lore & Lumi\u00e8re took charge of the artistic direction and the design of the complete experience, down to the finest details of the game mechanics. Each gameplay phase was specifically conceived: exploring and blowing away dust, diagnosing faults, manipulating and realigning components, assembling and soldering, tuning mechanisms, through to the final re-enchantment sequence. The orbital camera system, the cinematic transitions between contemplation and repair, the immersive miniaturization within the heart of the artifact, and the appearance of Louise as a third-person narrative guide were all subject to detailed design. The project is being developed for PC, tablet, and consoles, as a direct extension of the studio’s expertise in immersive worlds for brands with a strong imaginative heritage. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
